Harold and I went out today to a nearby town to do some Christmas shopping. We decided to have dinner at Cracker Barrel.

Now, normally at Cracker Barrel, I have their country fried steak. Yesterday I was intrigued by their new fall menu and decided to try the Maple Pecan Chicken.
Although I was pleased with the meal overall, I could have just ordered plain fried chicken and saved a few bucks. The chicken was good, but only had a smidgen of the sauce on each piece, not enough to really affect the taste of the chicken. Harold said I should have asked for more, but it's not really in my nature to complain about food. The rest of the meal (hash brown casserole, broccoli and biscuits) was great! The chicken, although tasty, fell flat to consider it was a fall special menu item.
Harold enjoyed his meatloaf meal and as usual, we enjoyed the ambiance and atmosphere of cracker barrel and enjoyed all of the wonderful eye candy on the walls.
Stop by and tell us about your favorite menu item. The kitchen door is always open and there is always room for one more at the table.
