One thing that Harold and I will agree on is that our favorite restaurant is The Whistle Stop in Glendale, Kentucky.

Although we have only had the pleasure of dining there on two occasions, the delicious food and warm ambiance make it unforgettable.

We first visited The Whistle Stop in 2005 on our anniversary. We enjoyed a lovely lunch during a fun day of antique shopping. Harold enjoyed country ham with classic sides and I loved the open face roast beef and gravy with mashed potatoes.

Ten years later, in 2015, we visited The Whistle Stop again. We sat at the same table and enjoyed the same meal that we had on our first visit. We were delighted that the food was just as good as we remembered it and the restaurant still had the same charm that had won us over the first time around.

Glendale is a wonderful little community near Elizabethtown, Kentucky. It is full of great antique and specialty shops. The whole community is lovely and makes you feel welcome. It's one of our favorite places and one I'm sure we will visit again - in 2025 maybe!

If you could enjoy a meal anywhere you wished right now, where would it be? Tell us about it! The kitchen door is always open and there's always room for one more at the table!
